This website is maintained as a voluntary effort and not tied to any particular organisation. It is developed with an open source spirit, coordinated through a GitHub organisation - Magnetic Earth - where you will find code used to build the site and some of the visualisations. Code is available under the MIT license and content (text etc.) under the CC-BY license (unless otherwise indicated): please feel free to re-use however you like and cite magneticearth.org as the source.

If you are familiar with GitHub and Jekyll (or even just Markdown), you can make Pull Requests directly with changes to the content pages (we can then test and verify contributions before they go live).
